ENORMOUS TOTAL
WAR SAVINGS IN BRITAIN Received Dec. 3, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 3. The chairman of the National Savings Campaign revealed at Newcastle to-day that war savings had now reached the enormous total of £480,000,000, and including investments in the Post Office, a total of £486,000,000. This result he described as a magnificent start on the part of the small savers, but he called for still greater effort.
