Nash, announced to-day that £101,( 14s 6d has been received in the public j account on behalf of the aeroplanes ! fund’ and arrangements are being; made to remit to the United Kingdom | Government the balance cf the £lOO,- j 000 (N.Z. currency) which ‘ promised. The allocation of planer Lo the pro- ; vincial patriotic districts for the pur • pose of naming the planes after such . districts where the funds have been ■ raised, will be undertaken as soon as ; the money from outstanding lists is I received in the public account. The surplus over £lOO,OOO will be paid to the United Kingdom Government on account of the Dominion s share of the cost of the Empire airtraining scheme.
