PRICE INCREASES IN BRITAIN

Received Aug. 15, 9.30 p.m. LONDON. Aug. 15. The official average of wholesale prices in July was nearly 4 per cent, above that of June. Food prices increased about 3 per cent, and industrial materials and manufactures nearly 41 per cent. The aggregate increases since the outbreak of the war are: General index 421 per cent., food prices 481 per cent.., industrial materials and manufr lures 39 per cent.
