PHALERON BAY FILLY

HIS FIRST THREE-YEAR-OLD WINNER Phaleron Bay was credited with his first three-year-old winner yesterday, when La Danseuse won in Sydney at what is reported to have been ‘a lucrative price. La Danseuse is a daughter of the Limond —Salute mare Curtsey, and she was purchased at the Trentham yearling sales in 1539 for 400 guineas by Mr. W. J. Smith, of the St. Aubins Stud, New South Wales. Mr. Smith was the purchaser of Beat. Fere at the Westmere clearing sale. La Danseuse was having only her second start when she won yesterday, having made her debut at the back end of the season.
