DEATH OF WELL-KNOWN BUSINESSMAN
MR. A. S. PATERSON [ Per Press Association j DUNEDIN. April 23. The death occurred, in Dunedin, today of Alexander Stronach Paterson, a well-known and successful businessman in the city, aged 90. He founded the firm of A. S. Paterson and Co. in 1886. Deceased was born at Kirkcaldy. Scotland, and arrived in Otago at the age of 17, and worked for various firms before joining the National Mortgage and Agency Coy., as salesman, subsequently becoming local manager, a position he held until he established a business on his own account.
