BULLS NEWS

(Own Correspondent.) BUDS, April 23. There was only a small muster at the weekly shoot held on the Bulls Miniature Rifle Club’s range on Monday evening, and scores were as follow:—H. Meads 98, G. Meads 98, A. F. Taaffe 98, L. Meads 95, N. Amon 94, M. Cooper 92. A full attendance is expected on Monday next.

For lack of a quorum, the meeting of householders lapsed at Parewanui on Monday evening, and another meeting of householders lapsed at Parewanui on Monday evening, and another meeting will be held next month. Mr. O. Reid, who took an active interest in the affairs of the Parewanui school, is leaving for the Auckland district, where he has purchased a farm, and one or two of the old committee have signified their intention of relinquishing office, but it is hoped to Vll all vacancies before long.

On Saturday a Rugby match was played between past and present pupils of Bulls School, the former winning a well contested game by 6 to 3. Great interest will be taken in the senior Rugby match at Bulls on Saturday next, when Bulls will meet the formidable Rata fifteen, which defeated a strong Hunterville side on Saturday last. Bulls juniors will travel to Rata, to meet Rata.

Mr. J. Bryers, who is attached to the teaching staff of Bulls school, turned out for Bulls seniors on Saturday, and played a solid game. He is not to be confused with R. Bryers (a brother), though both played for Training College, R. Bryers also representing King Country.
