Boy Scout Movement. That the Boy Scout and Girl Guide movements is well to the fore in Wanganui was exemplified last night at St. Paul’s Hall, which was crowded for the celebration of Founder’s Day. The Boy Scout movement was founded by Lord, then Sir Robert Baden-Powell, in 1907, which led in 1910 to ms founeing the Girl Guides, with the cooperation of his sister, Miss Agnes Baden-Powell, which have spread to all parts of the world. In 1922, a baronetcy was conferred on him, and in 1929, he was raised to the peerage as Lord Baden-Powell, of Gilwell. He was born in 1857.
