Mrs. C. Morgan, Taihape, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. G. Norme and Miss W. Tennant were To Aroha visitors to Wclnganui yesterday. Mrs. W. A. Telford, Christchurch, is visiting Wanganui. A recent visitor to Wanganui was Mrs. Geoffrey Pauli, Whangarei.
Mrs. A. Haworth, Wanganui, is visiting Auckland, where she is the guest of Mrs. Frank Deight, Devonport. Mrs. A. C. Brookes, who has been visiting Wanganui and Iluntervilie, has returned to Hamilton. Mrs. F. Handley, Maxwell, and her daughter, Mrs. Eric Brewer, of Waitotara, were visitors to Wellington this week. Mr. and Mrs. L. Binkman, who have been spending a few days in Wanganui as the guests of Mr. Hope Gibbons and Miss Gibbons, left yesterday for Wellington to visit the Exhibition before returning on Friday to Christchurch. o o o As a result of a recommendation macle by the lady superintendent, Miss D. E. Menzies, the staff nurses at the Waikato Hospital will in future have 28 days’ annual holiday instead of 21 as at present.
ENGAGEMENT. Callaghan—Moye.— The engagement is announced of Margaret Jane (Peggy), third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Moye, Wanganui, to Edward John, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Callaghan, Dunedin.
