Miss N. Gordon, Wanganui, has been visiting Wellington. Mrs. R. Richards, of Masterton, was a week-end visitor to Wanganui. Mrs. R. C. Davidson, Trentham, was a recent visitor to Wellington. Mrs. D. White is a Wanganui visitor to Wellington. Miss Betty Richardson, Wanganui, is visiting Mrs. H. E. Porritt, Pukeroro, Waikato. Miss M. Williams, of Huiroa, is spending a few days in Wanganui. Miss Eileen Moore, Wanganui, spent the week-end in New Plymouth, as j I he guest of her aunt, Mrs. T. Moore. Miss Stella Robinson, Durie Hili, has returned to Wanganui from a holiday spent in Turangi. Miss Muriel Linnell, of Kaivvaka, i who has been visiting Wanganui, has gone on to Auckland to stay with relatives, at Remuera. Mrs. D. G. Gordon, Taihapc, who is j visiting Christchurch for the Dornin- , ion conference of the National Council of Women, as delegate from the Wanganui branch, is the guest of Mrs. W. F. Kent-Johnston. Mrs. C. H. Forte, Remuera, Auckland, is spending a holiday with her daughter, Mrs. Nevifison McDonald, Okoia. Mrs. Trevor Hume. Featherston, Wairarapa, was a visitor to the Wanganui district last week as the guest pf her sister, Mrs. D. J. Beard, Kauangaroa. Mrs. Clara Spurdie, wife of the late Mr. F. L. Spurdie, Hastings, formerly of Wanganui, died in Napier Hospital on Saturday, where she had been since her husband’s death some months ago. Two sons and two daughters are left. The ladies of the Westmere Presbyterian Church are busy preparing for the catering of the Paparangi dog trials, which take place in Messrs. Caddy and Williams’ property, Kai Iwi, on May 30 and 31. The trials should be well patronised, as they are the only ones in the district this year.
