RUGBY 7 OPENING (Own Correspondent). BULLS, April 22. The opening game of the season was played on Bulls Domain on Saturday, under perfect football conditions, and the few spectators were treated to a i fast, open game, in which the better I combined Marton rearguard showed to greater advantage. Bulls forwards played up strongly, but sound defence kept the Bulls score down. Sparks opened the scoring for the visitors with a penalty goal, and tries were added by Lourie. Christopher, Lewis and Tolley (2). For Bulls, Tom Ellery i kicked two penalty goals, and Jack I Klatt scored from a forward rush. The [form shown by both teams was very j promising, and with practice the home 'boys should improve in the near ; future. Mr. F. Parkinson refereed.

Wreaths will afterwards be placed on the War Memorial. In the afternoon Returned Soldiers will parade at Rongotea, at 1.45 p.m., and a service will commence at 2 p.m. The band will also attend at Rongotea, and Major Dick will be the speaker.
I FOOTBALL CLUB DANCE As advertised, the Bulls Football Club’s dance will be held in the Town Hall this (Tuesday) evening. The Revellers’ Dance Band will supply the music, and everything of the best Is assured for patrons. A free bus will run from Marton.
