GERMAN PARACHUTISTS MOPPED UP
SURVIVORS SURRENDER TO NORWEGIANS SURPRISING AMOUNT OF EQUIPMENT (By Telegraph—Prei»s Association—Copyright) Received April 23, 12.20 a.m. LONDON, April 22. The Exchange Telegraph's Stockholm correspondent describes the mopping up of the last of the German parachute troops at Dombaas yesterday. The parachutists occupied a farmhouse. The Norwegians surrounded it and advanced under cover of machine-guns. A grenade was thrown into lhe cellar and wrecked the farmhouse. The Germans capituI lated after the loss of 25 killed and 25 wounded. A hundred ansi tilty were taken prisoner. The parachutists carried a surprising amount of equipment, including machine-guns, collapsible bicycles, two-way radios, saws, cameras and welding apparatus. The Germans had compelled 50 civilians to carry the equipment.
