PATRIOTIC Fl NDS ( OLLIX TION. (Own Correspondent.) PAEEA, April 22. For patriotic funds collection area, which is from the Whenuakura river to the Hawera County boundry, has been divided into blocks, two collectors being appointed to each block. Collections of funds have begun and collectors for the different blocks are as follows: Alton, Messrs. A. G. Gibbs and H. A. Southland; Manaia, Messrs. A. B. Muggeridge and C. J. Wills; Hunterville, Messrs. D. Hurley and D. T. Goodson; Kakaramea, Messrs. R. J. Watt and James Huston; Opaku, Messrs. D. H. Loftus and S. J. Davidson; Whenuakura, Messrs F. Parsons and J. Wynne; Patea central block, Dr. Simons and Mr. J. N. Anderson; north block. Messrs. W. F. Sheild and F. W. Hamel; Kasai amea, Patea block. Messrs. J. Bourke and E. C. Pearce Patea extension, Messrs. S. P. Fu ller-Sandys and R. J. Bromley; Carlyle. Messrs. H. J. Peacocke and J. Howorth. PATEA GOLF CLLB For the Medal Watt Cup, the best cards handed in by members of the men’s club on Saturday were E. Horner, 82-13-69, S. Edwards, 81-8-73; A. B. Currie, 80-6-74, J. G. Edwards, 83-9-74. In the Stableford competition held during the week-end, Mr. J. Casey played good golf to card a 72 and won the competition on the count back. The three best cards were as follow: M. Casev 38, Aagaard 38, C. Smith 37. PATEA LADIES’ GOLF FIXTURES.
