AT HASTINGS

Hawke’s Bay Autumn Meeting THE CONCLUDING DAY PROSPECTS REVIEWED Interesting fields are engaged at Hastings to-day for the concluding day of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s autumn meeting, and there should be some more good racing, though with first day's form to guide them investors are not likely to be as far off the mark as they were on Thursday. Lady Stella surprised on the first day but she should again be in the picture, though Bisquit showed his quality at Awapunl. Ohanga should also go well. Charade and Begorrah are bracketed. Eupatrid appears nicely placed to repeat his first-day success in the Tomoana Electric, thus following in the footsteps of last year's winner, The Ring. Arachne and Young Charles also appeal. Another good race should be provided in the Twyford Hack Handicap, for good chances are held by Proclamation, Zest, Hui, Millament, and Dainty Dell. Hui will be bracketed with Red Hunting. Black Thread does not appear to be overweighted with 9.0 in the Hastings Handicap, but Kathbella, Galteemore, The Ring and Lindrum will make it interesting for the topweight. Kadina is in form and has a chance to repeat her first-day win in the Juvenile Handicap, though All Quiet and Royal Consort should improve. Authoress, Kintyre and Filbert are nicely placed in the Akitio Hack Handicap. Thursdays form points to Footloose. Rakahanga and Lexden in the Okawa Handicap, in which Golden Blonde and Native Song will be bracketed. The following may appeal in their respective engagements:—Karamu Hurdles. —Bisquit. Lady Stella. Tomoana Electric. Eupatrid Arachne. Young Charles. Twyford Hack Handicap -Proclamation, Hui-Red Hunting bracket, Zest. Hastings Handicap Black Thread. The Ring, Galteemore.
