WEATHER FORECAST
Meteorological Office, Wellington, Friday. April 12, 3 p.m. General Situation.—An anti-cyclone extends on to New Zealand from the south and a secondary disturbance is developing over the North Island. Forecast.—Winds: Light to fresh southerly to easterly prevailing. Seas (New Zealand waters): Moderate to rather rough south of East Cape, elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to fresh south-easterly to easterly winds and moderate seas. Weather: Unsettled over most of the North Island with occasional rain. Scattered showers also on the east coast of the South Island, elsewhere fair to fine. Temperatures cold with some frosts inland in the south. The New Zealand Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill, reports as follows for 24 hours ending 6 p.m. yesterday:—Hours of sunshine, 2 minutes. Rainfall, .28 inches. Maximum temperature, 56deg. Fahr, minimum temperature, 44deg. Fahr. Time of sunset to-day, 5.33 p.m. Time of sunrise to-morrow. 6.49 a.m.
