MELBOURNE WEDDING

OF LOC AL INTEREST The marriage took place recently at St. Andrews, Aberteldie, Melbourne, of Edwin Mercer, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Foster, Wanganui. New Zealand, and Edna Jean, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Dowdy, Essendon, Melbourne. The bride wore a lovely frock of offwhite cloque and carried a sheaf oi I frangipani i...d gladioli. She was attended by her sister, Miss Marjorie Dowdy. Mr. Ronald Dowdy, brother of the bride, was best man. The reception was held at “Barque," Ascot Vale the bride and bridegroom leaving later for Maryville in the Victorian bushlands. Their future home lis to be in Wanganui.
