CAPTURE OF NARVIK
COMPLETED IN 25 MINUTES TWO NORWEGIAN WARSHIPS TORPEDOED Received April 10, 7.7 p.m. LONDON, April 10.Two German, destroyers attacked Narvik at 5 a.m. under cover of a heavy snowstorm and with 25 minutes the. port was completely under German control, says the British United Press. An eye-witness says that two Norwegian warships in the harbour opened fire, but were promptly torpedoed. It is believed that the majority of the crews perished. A German landing party thereafter proceeded to occupy Narvik unopposed.
