CLIFF AT CHRISTCHURCH CANTERBURY WINS NORDON CUP I Per Frees Association ] CHRISTCHURCH, March 24. In the Nordon Cup swimming carnival C. Cliff (Christchurch), 100 yards New Zealand backstroke recordholder, broke the 220 yards backstroke record by 2 l-ssec., setting the time of 2min. 34 4-ssec. Canterbury beat Wellington tor the Nordon Cup in the annual contests. Canterbury won the relay decisively and also won the diving, but Wellington won the water polo match.
