EASTER IN ENGLAND

EXODUS FROM THE CITIES HEAVY RAILWAY TRAFFIC. Received March 23, 11 a.m. LONDON, March 21. The Easter holidays began with a great exodus from the cities to the country and seaside, almost similar to peace-time traffic. All the main line railways generally equalled their normal Easter figures and in some cases exceeded them. The usual crowds of holiday makers were augmented by large numbers of men on leave from the forces and relatives visiting evacuated children.
