ON AWAPUNI TRACKS TRIALS FOR WOODVILLE PALMERSTON N., Feb. 21. Awapuni stables will be well represented at Woodville at the week-end. Although the course brooer was closed yesterday morning, the trial grass was in good order, the going being easy. Raeburn and Flammarion were partners over seven furlongs. After being given time to find their feet, they ran the first half-mile in 50sec., and finished together in Imm. 30sec. Brazil and Verey Lights worked over a mile ’and the former was a length to tlic good at the post after running the last seven furlongs in Imin. 32sec. Brazil appears to be in belter condition now than at any other stage of the season. Dragon and Chary were not ridden out to complete half a mile in 52sec. Lambourn was in front ot Cnerry Bay at the end of half a mile in 53 3-ssec. Sporting Gift, Gaelic Song, and Thrasos were companions over seven furlongs. Sporting Gift and Gaelic Song drew ahead over the last bit, the time being Imin. 32 2-ssec. Race Boy, with a puil in the weights, beat Rollaway over six furlongs run in Imin. 21 l-sscc. High Peer was sent a working gallop over a mile in Imin, 51sec. Taitama and Kolua sprinted three--1 urlongs in 39sec., and Goldburn was timed to run two furlongs in 28sec. Laughing Lass slipped over half a mile on the plough in better than 54sec. One of the best sixes of the morning was that of Sceptre, who was going well within herself to complete in Imin. 19 3-ssec. Millament ran an easy half-mile on the plough in 55 3-ssec., and Cetewayo was going nicely in front of Courting at the end of three furlongs in 39sec. Debretts sprinted live furlongs in Imin. ssec.
