Mrs. Hugh Anderson, Christchurch, is visiting her mother, Mrs. A. S. Brown, May Street. Mrs. Archer, Mrs. Braid, and Miss Ngaire Tabart, Mangamahu, have motored to Wellington to visit the Exhibition. Mrs. Fergie, Gisborne, has been the guest of Mrs. H. Rowling. Parsons Street. Mrs. T. Moore, New Plymouth, has been spending a holiday in Wanganui and Wellington. Mrs. Wood, Wanganui, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bousiield, Mangorei. Mrs. W. Evans returned to Stratford last wek after visiting Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. F. Carpenter, St. John’s Hill, have returned from a visit to Wellington. Miss Betty McGorrery, Waverley, is spending a holiday at Castlccliff as the guest of Miss Betty Woolnough. Miss K. Glenn, Wanganui, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. Whittington is a Hawei a visitor to Wanganui. Mrs. L. Kerr, who has been the guest of Mrs. W. J. McKernan, Wanganui East, has returned to Hunterville. Mrs. Breet is a Wanganui visitor to Napier. Mr. Darrach, lecturer of the Wellington branch of the Navy League, is visiting Wanganui to aduiess the schools to arouse interest in the Navy and in the coming fair, which he will attend. Mrs. Darrach is the guest of Mrs. D. G. Polson, College Street. Mr. and Mrs. Dustin, Wan„j iui, were the guests of Mrs. N. Bron/uey, Waverley, for the week-end Miss Margaret. Fox, Hawera, who has been visiting Melbourne to compete j the Melba scholar Jiip, was expected to return to New Zealand last Tuesday. Miss Betty Hilliard, the well-known Christchurch singer, who left New Zealand nearly four years ago, has arrived in Sydney from Paris. She wih make her permanent home in Sydney and will reside at Point Piper. Miss Hilliard, whose Lieder recitals and folk song programmes will be remembered in Christchurch and \Vellington, will be heard in vocal recitals in Australia during this year.
