FORTNIGHT’S GAOL THEFT FROM HUT-MATE DEFENCE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE [ Per P l ess Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 21. For theft of £1 during the absence of the man with whom he shared a hut, Frederick William Huggins, aged 19, labourer and soldier in the service of the Defence Department, was sentenced by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., to 14 days’ hard labour.
