Compared with December, 1938. when export< were valued at 68,888,000 dollars, Det ember, 1939. showed a rise of ’* ;•••:■ rent, in the value of exports at 101.021.522 dollars. taking the period of four months horn the outbreak of the war, the figure for domestic exports is 370,078.»39 dollars, compared with 317.342.243 dollars for the similar period in 1938. This shows an increase of 17 per cent. t iral pi oduction for 1939 reached a total of 1.134.545.000 dollars, representing the 130 ind an advance of 97,000,000 dollars over 1938. Federal revenue returns show an equally satisfactory increase while the financial resources available are shown by the over-subscribing by nearly one-third of the 200,000,000 dollars at 34 per cent, bonds which were recently offered to the public.
