WINS AWARD IN PRESENT CONFLICT Received Feb. 21, 7.55 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 21. Wing-Commander William Ernes Staton, the first Great War pilot win ning an award in the present conflict gained the D.S.O. He brought dow 28 planes, nine in five days, as ; Royal Flying Corps lieutenant ii 1918. aged 17. and won the Militar Cross and D.F.C. with bar.
