It is estimated in Canada that the £120,000,000 Empire air-training scheme will, when i n full operation absorb a personnel of at least 30.001 airmen. 260 S officers, nearly 500 C civilians and over 1000 of the maintenance staff. Nearly 70 instructional schools wiL he needed to give the fullest training to the personnel in every branch of military av-iation. ORDERS FOR MORE AIRCRAFT SUPPLY BY BRITAIN TO CANADA Received Jan. 18, 10.35 p.m. OTTAWA. Jan. 18. The British Air Ministry has ordered 850 aircraft and 736 additional on gines in connection with the air-train-ing plan, according to the War Supply Eh # d’.s weekly report. The equipment, is being supplied without cost to Canada, since it. represents • part of the British Government’s share of the plan.
