Williamson’s new dramatic company which recently concluded a month’s season at the Wellington •; Grand Opera House, is announced to give one performance of Alec Coppel’s .. famous mystery play “I Killed the r _ Count” at the Opera House, Wanganui next Tuesday night. “I Killed the Count” proves once again that age cannot wither nor custom stale the infinite variety of the Wil-1 liamson attractions. “I Killed the Count” has all the earmarks of t a popular success; a deftly- ’ written, smooth-actioned comcdymystery with a plot as baffling as it is funny. The cast includes Harf vey Adams, Doris Packer. Atholl Flem--11 ing, Clifford Cowley, Katie Towers, Jane Connolly, Alec Pratt, Norman 10 Lee, Eric Reiman, Horie Thomas. ” Flemming Barrett, John Howard and a Reginald Collins. The settings and novel mechanical devices, together e with the intricate electrical effects, have all been imported, and the prov ducer, Mr. Rowland G. The Auckland player drew with machine-like accuracy and his opponent scored on l " only four heads. Playing at the top 11 of his form Squire had an easy win over Spearman (Sydenham). Squire led 16—3 after nine heads and the re0 suit was never in doubt so consistent was his form. The game ended on . ' the 20th head with Squire the winner 25—11. a After a short respite Deare (two lives) met Squire (one life). Squire continued to show the brilliant form f j which won him his first game and Ip Deare, although he played well was beaten decisively. The Hawera player won on the 19th head by a margin of nine points.
