Duncan are Hunterville visitors to Wellington. Mrs. Hamish Wilson, Bulls, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. Broadhead senr., with Mrs. L. Rutherfurd. left Wanganui yesterday for a tour of the South Island. Mrs. H. Clarke is a Napier visitor to Wanganui. Writing from London on December 22. a London correspondent states that Mrs. Eldred Elizabeth Ann Edward, a daughter of Sir J. T. I. Thornycroft, the naval designer, who 18 months ago married Captain Gordon Edward, formerly her father’s chauffeur, died on December 21 at Ryde. Isle of Wight. Captain Edward left Sir John’s employment about 20 years ago and went to New Zealand. Early in 1938 he returned to England, arid they were married at Chagford. Dexon.
