GERMAN PLOT FOILED
PLAN TO DESTROY BRITISH PUBLIC' WORKS Received Jan. .17. 9.5 p.m. LONDON. Jan. 17. The Daily Mail says the authorities have discovered and speedily' foiled a German intelligence service plot to destroy public works, bridges and railways in Britain. They ha/e circulated a secret document to all railway chiefs warning them of the plotters’ methods and outlining defensive measures. Britain's 600,000 railway workers are enrolling in an anti-spy system.
