UNKNOWN TANKER ABLAZE
CREW RESCUED OFF BRITISH COAST Received Jan. 17. 10,15 p.m. LONDON. Jan. 17. j The south-west coast lifeboat crew { were attending a funeral when an explosion at. sea necessitated their launching the boat and speeding J.o the aid of an unknown 10,000-t.on tanker ablaze from end lo end. Othercraft followed, including a patrol boat, which landed lhe survivors after the tanker had sunk.
