Maynard, c stated in a cable to belong to Waiuku, J , Nev. Zealand, has been solved. , , He was born at the vicarage of Wai- ‘ ’ uku, near Auckland, in May, 1893. His r father was from Eng.au i and was J ' vicar of Waiuku. A friend t>r the ! family residing in Wa'r.t <u stated that £ the family were in New Zealand ' about three years. Th?/ left when the son was about two years old. r During the Great. War Air Com- 1 modore Maynard was a flight Lieutenant in the Air Force and piloted one of the escort planes which accompanied the Prince ot Wales to France. r Later he was attamed to Lord Al- f lenby’s staff in Egypt.
