FIFTY U-BOATS SUNK
SUCCESS OF ALLIED NAVIES GERMAN HEAVY ( Rl ISER DAMAGED FARIS, Dec. 20. It. is officially estimated that a tola’ of more than 50 U-boats have beer sunk by the Allied fleets since the war began in September. The Minister of Military Marine, M Cesar Carnpinchi, announced that the French Navy sank two submarines one of which is accredited to the destroyer Sirocco, whose score is now three. The Neuezurcher Zeitung’s Berlir correspondent reports that, well-in-formed circles confirm that the German heavy cruiser Blucher was badij damaged by a British torpedo.
