DECEMBER 22. 1939 (Shopping Night): The Tram and Bus Services will continue running at regular intervals till 11 p.m., and the last trams and buses will leave the Post Office for the various terminii at that time. Commencing at. 7.0 p.m. from Post Ofiice, and 7.20 p.m from Virginia; Road, a 40-minute service will be run' on the St. John’s Hill route. The 6.40 p.m. and 8.0 p.m. inwards trips will be run via Smithfield. A special bus wifi leave Maria Place at 9.40 p.m.. and Post Office at 10.20 p.m. respectively for Fox Road via Smithfield. Note: Between 7.40 and 9.40 p.m. all buses will leave Maria Place. SATURDAY. DECEMBER 23. 1939: Ordinary Saturday services will be run on all joules Weather permitting and traffic conditions warranting however, a 20-minule service will be run from P.O. to Castlecliff via alternate routes, commencing at 2.0 p.m., via Koromiko Road, up lo 4.f) p.m.. when ordinary schedule will be resumed. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 24, 1939: Usual summer service, including A.M. trams and Virginia Lake Bus, will be run on all routes. MONDAY. DECEMBER 25. 1939, (Xmas Day): No Tram or Bus Service will be run. TUESDAY. DECEMBER 26, 1939 (Boxing Day): The ordinary week-day services will be run on all tram routes from 6.40 a.m., but the St. John’s Hill Bus will commence at 9.0 a.m. from Post Office and 9.20 a.m. from Virginia Road, and run thereafter as per schedule. CASTLECLIFF BEACH: Weather permitting, however, and traffic conditions warranting, the scheduled holiday time-table will be run between Post Office and Castleclilf Beach, commencing at 9.0 a.m. SIGHT-SEEING BUS; From Saturday, December 23, to Tuesday, January 2"( Xmas Day excepted) an Observation Bus will leave the Post Office at 2.5 p.m. daily.
