The Ritz Brothers turn detectives in “Tne Gorilla.” the 20th. Century-Fox-screen version of the famous stage hit' which is showing next Wednesday at ; the Opera House, The action takes• place in a house that is a maze of: sliding panels. The time is something' close to mid-night—in the midst of a. raging thunderstorm. The host, Lionel ■ Atwill, has just received a note from “The Gorilla” threatening him with! murder at mid-night! It would be unfair to spoil the fun-and-fright feast I that awaits the audience by revealing , the story. “SHIPYARD SALLY" Another success is scored by the ever-popular Gracie Fields in “Shipyard Sally,” which is to screen onj Friday of next week at the Opera i House. A steady stream of humour; leavens “Shipyard Sally’s' more sori-j ous moments, and Sydney Howard, as Gracie’s father, rascally but lovable, isj often in the limelight. Among the seven songs which Gracie sings, a. ■ only she can, is “Wish Me Luck.’ so| popular now with Tommy Atkins.
