ANNUAL SHOP EVENING The annual "Shop Evening" arranged by the parishioners ol SL. Mark's Church was held on Thursday evening in the Waitotara jiall. <ne various trading tables were well stocked with cakes, vegetables and other produce. Eleven lambs had been donated by the farmers and these found a ready sale at the meat stall. Supper was served in the supper room. The profits tor the evening were over £5O. Winners of the competitions were: Correct weight ol lamb, E. Watson and R. Stevens; dinner, 1. D. Parsons; Christmas cake, M. Hartwell; chocolates ,L. Wroe; Toy dog, Jacqueline Hurley.
