Kelling 14 and 1 to piay. W. White 7 and 7 io play, and R. G, Wade 13-5 tcompietel. Air. Kiind Beyer, the new champion, is .36 rears of age. Before leaving Denmark fot New Zealand 11 years ago he was a proficient member of the Aalborg and Copenhagen Ches.'' Clubs, where his opponents included so,•era) strong amateur players and two well-known European masters, ,\. Nimzowitch and R. Spielmann. His many successes in the tournaments of the Wellington Working Men's Club and Literary Institute include six firsts and : four seconds.
