ANNUAL SPORTS
KEITH STREET SCHOOL RESULTS OF RACES The pupils of the Keith Street School held their annual sports in delightful weather on Wednesday. There was a large attendance of parents and friends. Mrs. CollisBrown acted as judge of the various races, a feature of which was the prompt manner in which they were conducted. At the conclusion of the programme, the prizes were presented to the winners by Miss N. Sampson. The various stalls were in charge of the following:—Afternoon tea, Mesdames Thomas, Person and McPhee; jumble stall, Mesdames Tindall and Matthews; produce, Mesdames Thomas and Donachie; ice cream, Mesdames White and Rivers. Mesdames Glenn, Hylton and Wilson were in charge of the competitions. Results were as follow. Boys nine and over: Douglas Collard. Girls nine and over: Vera Thomas. Boys eight years: lan Croxford. Girls eight years: Joan McPhee. Boys seven years: Douglas Head. Girls seven years: Helen Wood. Boys six years: Jackie Rauhiwi. Girls six years: Marjorie Winterburn. Boys five years: Hudson Harris. Girls five years; Pamela le Compte. Standard 1 boys wheelbarrow half-way: Bob Hounscl, Neville Puddle. Standard 1 girls tripping: Lorraine Cuthbertson. Primer 3 boys all fours half-way: Douglas Lacey. Standard 2 girls skipping: Betty Scanlon. Primer 2 boys kangaroo half-way: Luckie Ketu. Standard 2 boys tyre: Len Hylton. Primer 3 girls jumping half-way: Betty Cro-1 marty. Primer 4 boys and girls horses: Ngaire Walford, Max Hercock. Primer 1 girls biscuit half-way: Jean Spurdie. Standard 2 boys sack: Maurice Ander. Primer 2 girls backward halfway: Tephany Dickie. Primer 4 boys obstacle: Donald O’Donnell. Standard 2 girls potato half-way: n atty Vine. Standard 2 boys sledge: Douglas Collard, J.
