WIRELESS PROPAGANDA
Sir.—l feel it is time an emphatic protest was made against the constant stream of propaganda over the National Broadcasting Service system delivered by Government spokesmen. Nearly every evening either one or another speaks at considerable length over the Y.A. network. To cap the Mr. Savage has stolen a part of every Sunday evening for his contribution to the general stream* of Government party political propaganda. Of course no one else is allowed on lhe air. How long will the public endure this flagrant breach, this contempt of their rights. Not only is contempt of the people’s rights revealed, but also a disregard of the Lord’s Day. Mr. Savage seems very anxious for the people to hear him speak o» the prohtlems of New Zealand as he sees them, so much so indeed that he docs not hesitate to make use of the Lord’s Day for it. He should remember it is the Lord’s Day, not his. Another thing he overlooks is that the oroblems lacing us are very largely of his own making. Doubtless he is anxious that everyone should be as blind to this as he is, so that he may truly be a blind leader of the blind.—l am. etc., “O .PIP.
