CLERICAL WORKERS
NEW AWARD SOUGHT WAGES INCREASE CLAIMED [ Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON, Dec. 5. Proceedings were taking place today in Conciliation Council for a new Dominion award for clerical workers. An increase in wages is sought, the maximum weekly wage claimed for males being £5 15s, against £5 10s, and fernales £3 10s against an offer of £3 ss. A 40-hour week as a general rule is sougnt by the workers.
