COLONIAL EMPIRE

BRITAIN'S STEWARDSHIP I British Official Wireless. J Received Oct 31 5.5 p.m. RUGBY. Oct. 30. It 13 announced that Major Orde Browne, labour adviser to the Colonial Secretary, will shortly visit the Gold Coast, Sierra Leone and Gambia. As the Colonial Secretary promised, the war is not to be allowed to hamper Britain’s Colonial Empire stewardship. It is a comment on the German claims to sea control that Britain continues freely to send expert officials to carry on work for the benefit of th. colonics for which men were appointed in peace time.
