WAVERLEY RACING CLUB
LABOUR DAY MEETING LIST OF ACCEPTORS | Very satisfactory acceptances have been received for the Waverley P.acing Club's meeting on Labour Day, I here being a total of 74 acceptors for the seven races, an average of over ten a race. Eleven remain in the Waverley Cup. the only defections being Gaily and Amatory. The list is headed by the consistent Ned Cuttie, and the presence of a Melbourne Cup winner in Wotan auds to the interest. Lowenberg, a winner of the New Zealand Derby and the Stratford Cup, is also engaged, though he is also in at Trentham. Hunting Cat is another in whom keen interest will be displayed, and the Duke of Gloucester Cup winner, Windsor Chief, also claims this engagement. The seven handicapped for the Brewer Handicap, the open sprint, stand their ground. Only one dropped out of the hurdle race, and the Wilson Hack Highweight and lhe Jackson Memorial Stakes each claim fourteen acceptors. The Morton Memorial Maiden field numbers seventeen. The single-pool totalisator will be operated, and the first race is to start at 12 noon. Special trains will run from Wanganui and New Plymouth. Following is the list of acceptors:’— 12.0
