AM B ( LA N(E (LASSES There was a large attendance at. the first of a series of first-aid classes,, conducted by members of the Marton i St. John Ambulance (under the! leadership of Supt. H. Turnbull) last | week. Those present, were divided ; into groups, and under the guidance; of a brigade member, were made conversant with head, arm and hand ban-{ claging, and were given instruction in the treatment, of injuries. The great- : est enthusiasm was displayed, and it is' expected that many more will avail i themselves of the opportunity to; learn first-aid work. Brigadcsmen j sacrifice a great deal of time in the! public interest, and it was very en- . couraging to see so many present. At the conclusion a vote of thanks was accorded to the Martonians, and in reply, Supt. Turnbull said that it was a pleasure for members of the brigade to attend, and to see the interest taken in the demonstrations. A committee, comprising Messrs. F.
