MUSIC EXAMINATIONS PATEA SUCCESSES At the practical examinations in music conducted at Hawera by Dr. J. F. Staton, the examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, London, the following local candidates were among the successful:— Grade 1: Paul Mercer, pupil of Miss G. Kelly, A.T.C.L., L.T.C.L. Grade 5: Margaret Watt and Lois Sharp, pupils of the Patea Convent. PATEA GIRL GUDES The Girl Guides held a bazaar in the Presbyterian Hall on Wednesday evening to supplement their funds. There was a variety of stalls, all run ; by the Guides.
