HANDICAP The Chief Ruler gelding Padishah set the seal un Ins iaun ' yesterday at Riccarton when he completed the Grand .National “double’’ by adding the G..N. Hurdles to his first-day success ih the G.N. Steeplechase. This is the first lime in the history of the two races that the hor*'* has periormed the feat in the same year. Another sensation as provided at Riccarton yesterday, when the U.J.C. Grand National me 'iiil was continued in fine weather, for the Isdlington Handicap resulted in a triple deadheat. Lowenberg. Tidewaiter and Settlement passing the .judge ' in line. This is the first occasion on which such an occurrence ; has bem registered at Riccarion.
