McDonald, Kakaramea, was married to Thomas Gerald Naismith, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvie, Manutahi. Rev. E. Francis Farr officiated and Mrs. R. Sargent, Rahotu, presided at the organ. Escorted by her uncle, Mr. J. Pepper, the bride wore a model gown of ivory satin regal. The Jong panel in the front skirt extended to a point in the bodice above which the satin was s'oltly gathered into a tiny yoke of witchcraft lace. The long sleeves were extended at the shoulder with ruching and were fitting to the wrist. The skirt was cut with a panel starting above the waist and extending into a long full train with an appliqued design of lace in Richelieu effect. The embroidered allusion tulle veil which formed a second train was held in place by a coronet of arum lillies.’She carried a shower bouquet of white j roses, asters, erica, orange blossom ' and heather. The bride’s sister, Miss I. McDonald, i was the only bridesmaid. Her mode; i frock in old world style was of rose taffeta shot with blue. The bodice, uni on princess lines, had full puffed sleeves in corded effect. The fully flared skirt was finished at the hem with several rows of cording, and a posy in cyclamen and rose shades daintily finished the corsage. A lop knot matching the posy was worn and a bouquet in cyclamen shades carried. The bridegroom's gift, a hand-cut crystal necklace, was worn. Mr. H. Lee, Manutahi, was best man. As the bride left the church, Shirley Scown, niece of the bridegroom, presented her with a lucky horseshoe. Mrs. W. A. Bunker, Maxwell, the bride’s sister, was hostess at the reception in the Kakaramea Hall, and she wore a smartly tailored London tan coat, skunk fur stole and matching accessories. Her posy was in autumn shades. The bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. G. Scown, Manutahi, wore a model rust frock with accessories in green. Autumn shades were in her posy. For travelling the bride wore a model frock of Sylvan green romaine with coral ornament under a smart coat of nesane shade with natural Russian squirrel collar. A model hat and accessories of green were worn. Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Harvie will reside at Manutahi.
