WHENUAROA SHIELD RETAINED

WAINUI BEATS RANGITIKEI r ! SOME BRILLIANT BACK MOVEMENTS (Own Correspondent.) UPOKONGARO, July 23. Wainui-a-Rua resisted another challenge for the Whenuaroa Shield last Saturday when they met and defeated the Rangitikei Maori team by 9 points to nil. The game was interesting throughout r.r.d the ground being in perfect order there were at times some sparkling back movements, Wainui-a-Rua players excelling themselves in this department. | Rangitikei (green) kicked off with the sun in their eyes and immediately carried play into Wainui territory, fL where, from a penalty to Rangitikei, m C.
