The following statement was mad--hy the Rev. Percy Paris, of Wellington: “Our last Methodist conference, in February, passed a resolution liiat we should seek to enter into conference or committee with other churches Howard an ultimate union with the 'Presbyterian and also Congregational I Churches. The committee of botii 'Methodist and C?ngrega.tional chuiches I is meeting in Wellington now and is j considering matters of church doctrine, church orders and church govicrnmenl. Good progress is bring nian? in a very friendly spirit, all pointing Howards the possibility of a union ol ;the two churches in the not very disitant future.”
