LONDON WOOL SALES
SUSTAINED DEMAND LATE RATES MAINTAINED LONDON, July 17. At the wool sales, 8491 bales were offered, including 5753 New Zealand, and 7276 bales were sold. A moderate selection, chiefly of crossbreds, met with sustained demand at steady rates. Slipes were frequently withdrawn because of firm limits. New Zealand scoured crossbred (Hexton) made 13d. On Bradford, Merinos and crossbreds are both dearer. The full output of crossbreds has been sold three months ahead. There is more business in Merinos.
