SNOW FALLING INLAND

WHITE HILLS LAST NIGHT WEATHER SHOWS LMPROVEMEiN T Snow was falling steadily at Raetihi ' and on the high country toward National Park last night. A message from Raetihi received by the “Chron'clc" yesterday said that snow began to fall there at mid-day. Mr. R. E. Cuthbertson, a member of the Wanganui City Council, who motored from Tokaanu last night, said that he drove through a snowstorm practically all the way to about 15 miles on the Wanganui side of Raetihi. "It was not lying much along the roads,” he said, “but the tops of the hills were white." Last night the weather showed signs of improvement.
