SHOW ARRANGEMENTS

WANGANUI A. AND P. ASSOCIATION EXECI TIVE MEETING HELD The executive of the Wanganui A. and P. Association met yesterday, Mr. W. Craig presiding. There were also I present Messrs. R. Campion, C. C. | Baldwin, W. E. Robbie, T. Mitchell, C. ]M. Strouts, T. Hunter, A. McNab, R. i O. White, J. J. Lissette and C. J. Mas- ] tors. The following accepted invitations to judge at the forthcoming spring show: Mr. N. Fulton (Waflganui), farmers’ I butter class section; Mrs. L. Webbi Jones (Wanganui), cooking and home [industries; Mr. A. E. Symes (WaverIcy), flock hoggets and fat sheep and lambs; Mr. E. Wall (Hastings), Milking Shorthorn classes. Messrs. Rountree and Dean, ot Durie Hill, G. A. Campbell and P. E. Paul were elected new members. The Southdown Sheep Society ot New Zealand wrote advising that a medal for the best, two-tooth rams in natural condition for the Southdown section had been allotted to the association. A letter was received from tha Clydesdale Horse Society advising the allocation of a silver medal for thu show. The Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Club wrote advising that the club had decided to donate £5 for the maiden hunters’ class, providing the association agreed to make the prize money for this class not less than £lO. 3lr. A. R. Donaldson, the secretary, reported to the meeting that the Hunt Club’s proposal had been accepted and it was proposed to allot £6 cash and an oak writing bureau, valued at £8 10s, for first prize in the event, £4 cash for second and £2 cash for third. It was decided to send complimentary tickets for the show to all the headmasters of schools situated in the local area of the Wanganui Education Board’s district. Side-show arrangements were lefl in the hands of Mr. Donaldson and the system of allocating cattle to fhe stalls is to be decided by the cattle stewards.
