GENERAL FRANCO’S VIEW j POLAND HAS NOTHING TO GAIN I (By 'Feiegi’.-ph l’rc-9 A~6ociali'i;i Copyright) Received July 14, 11.45 p.m. BURGOS, July 14. General Franco, in a statement, said: “I refuse to believe there will be a war. There is no question that cannot be setilcd peacefully. “Danzig is not worth a war, for which Poland woul.l gain nothin.,g. War would, in any event, be fatal for Poland and inevitably compromise Britain's communications system, constituting the Imperial structure. Britain should rejoice if Italy, Spain, and Portugal united in the same ideology of friendship and affection, because they would allow her to be their friend. Spain will remajn neutral if her territory interests are not affected.’’
