Ririnuij Auckland. H. Mataira, Auckland. G. Mitchell, Auckland. Versatile Baek. J. Hemi, 12st. 51b., is a Maori, 26 years of age, and formerly played Rugby for Wairarapa. He went to Australia in 1935 with the New Zealand. Rugby Union team. Kay, 12st. 21b.', Auckland, is a| brilliant attacking three-quarter, who was a big success in Australia last ! season. He has speed, and takes a r lot of stopping. He can also play well at live-eighths. W. Tittleton, 12si.. has represewled I New Zealand at League on several j occasions, and is one of the soundest ' backs in the game. He came origin-' ally from South Auckland, and can play well at centre or live-eighths. He ; is a member of the Richmond Club. V. Scott, 13st. 41b., Auckland, is one j of New Zealand's outstanding cricket- [ ers, and a former representative! Soccer player. He plays well at fullback and is likely to develop into one of the best utility backs in the team. His defence is very solid. R. Banham, 1251., Auckland, firsl came into prominence two years ago with the South Sydney Club in S>oney, and as a five-eighth was ion- j sidered unlucky to miss the trip to England with the Kangaroos. He came to Auckland last season as a player-coach.

D. Solomon. 12s1. 21b., is a recent convert from the Rugby Union code. He won All Black honours in 1935. He has represented Auckland on many occasions, and has played both at fullback, five-eighths and half-back. His brilliant positional play has been a feature of League club games since coming over to the code about seven weeks ago. G. Beadle. 14st. 61b., the Bluntly forward, is the find of the season, and he has been a prolific scorer in club competitions. He has plenty of pace and is a deadly tackler. Beadle is expected to make a name for himself in England. R. King. 14st. 71b.. is a school teacher, and he represented the New Zealand University Rugby team in 1931. He also represented Canterbury in 1931-2-3-4. In 1935 he went to England and played League football for the Warrington Club. He was the highest scorer among English forwards, getting 26 tries in the ‘.135-36 season. An English writer included King among the best ten forwards in England. H. M. Milliken. 16.st 31b.. has worn the All Black jersey at Rugby, and in Australia two years ago was one of the best performers. He is a powei- , ful player in the scrums, and his recent form has been very impressive. G. Oram. 13st. 121 b.. has represented the South Island al Rugby, and transferred to the League code Iwo years ago. He was a member of the New Zealand team which toured Australia , last year, and was a successful hooker. He plays lor Inangahua, on the West. Coast. P. Ririnui, lost, lull?., a member of the Manukau Club, first, came into prominence playing lor the combined Poverty Bay-Bay ot Plenty-East Coast team against the Springboks last year. P. J. Nel. lhe South African captain, paid Purinui a compliment by classing him as one of Inc best forwards seen in New Zealand. ; He has taken some time to pick up the finer points of the game, but can now be claimed as the leading forward in the League game to-day. 1 G. Bellaney. 14st. 91b.. Canterbury, has represented lhe South Island on two previous occasions. He is a fine . loose forward, and is a prolific scorer 1 in club football. Although Bellaney carried a painful injury throughout I the trial, his form was very impres- ’ sive. J. Clark, 14st. 41b. Canterbury, was ’ one ot lhe most impressive forwards in the trial games. He is a bustling < type of player, and represented the South Island last season. Ho is one • ot the finest front row forwards seen for some years. H. Mataira, 15st„ Auckland, is a former All Black, and one of lhe finest players seen in New Zealand for _ many years. He is a powerful for- ‘ ward, who has won high honour’s in several positions in the scrum. G. Mitchell, 14st. 71b., Auckland, is a former’ Wa.rarapa Rugby representative, and is one of the best loose forwards in the game. Speed and good handling has been a feature of ( his play with the Richmond Club. ,
